Dec. 17 & 18: Juventas premieres "Is There a Word That Means Return?"

Juventas New Music Ensemble will will premiere "Is There a Word That Means Return?" December 17 and 18 at the Boston Conservatory. The work is a new collaboration with writer Meghan Guidry, combining spoken text, sung lyrics, and original chamber music. The piece explores the holidays as a bittersweet period when we are extra cognizant of family members who have passed away, yet remain woven into the fabric of our traditions.

Album Update - Minimum Funding Goal Reached!

Warm up your CD players and iPods: my minimum funding goal for my first professional studio album was surpassed Tuesday night - the project is a go!! HUGE thank you's (!!) to everyone who has played a part in reaching this critical point, from contributing funds, to helping spread the word. So far 88 donors have contributed $7220.

The fundraising campaign remains open through December 15, and community members who would like to be a part of the album, but have not donated yet, can still have a big impact.

To donate or for more information, follow the link below:

Funds over the minimum goal will support:
-Quality enhancing choices, such as extra studio time and better CD packaging
-Hiring musicians for the album release event, a full concert of my music to be held in Boston and New York City
-Renting a hall for the Boston release concert

I'll post a campaign summary after the 15th. In the meantime, there's much cause for celebration!

Cheers,
Oliver
